What is the online alarm clock?

An online alarm clock is a browser-based tool that helps you wake up on time and set reminders for your day. Pick a time, choose an alarm sound, and keep the tab open while you work in other tabs.

If you want an alarm after a duration (instead of at a specific clock time), use the online timer. To simply show the current time, use the online clock.

How to set an online alarm

  1. Confirm the on-page clock matches your local time.
  2. Set the alarm hours and minutes (or click a preset time).
  3. Optionally pick an alarm sound and add a name (like “Break time”).
  4. Click Set to activate the alarm.

After you set the alarm, you can view a countdown until it rings. Full-screen mode is useful on a second monitor. You can stop the alarm before it goes off, or snooze it when it rings.

Alarm history can be saved in your browser. Export a CSV if you want a record of alarm times you set and when they were stopped.

Alarm clock settings

Use settings to adjust how alarms behave and what appears on-screen:

  • Enable or disable looping alarm audio.
  • Change the default snooze duration.
  • Adjust volume and pick your preferred alarm sound.

If you use online alarm clock often, bookmark this page or pin it as a shortcut so it’s always one tap away. For the best experience, keep the tab open and interact with the controls once so your browser allows audio alerts, permission prompts, or full-screen mode when needed.

For presentations, classrooms, or a second monitor, try full-screen mode. It centers the tool and removes distractions, and the zoom buttons let you fit the display to your viewing distance.

Browsers can throttle timers in background tabs to save battery. These tools keep accurate time by calculating against a stable clock, so even if the UI updates less frequently, the underlying time stays correct when you return.

Many pages are preset links. Sharing the URL is the fastest way to open the same configuration on another device, whether that’s a timer duration, a specific alarm time, or a countdown to an event year.

Your preferences (like theme and alarm sound) are stored locally in your browser. There’s no login required, and nothing needs to be uploaded for the tools to work.

If you’re using the site in bright sunlight or at night, switch themes for better contrast. Large digits and simple controls are intentional so the tools stay readable on small screens and from a distance.
